The VF1000R was created in 1984 to homologate the innovative technology Honda had developed in the F1 class and to play an active role in the production-based race world. However, the VF1000R was only short-lived as soon after its debut race regulations changed to a maximum displacement of 750cc and eventually being replaced by the much lighter, very successful VFR750R (RC30) earned it the nicknames “Misfortunate One” or “Sad V4”.

Nevertheless, with its gear-driven cams, allowing for accurate valve timing, and the sturdy double-cradle frame, BITO R&D believed in the VF1000Rs potential regardless of its apparent weaknesses. Replacing the adversely front oriented 16” front and 17” rear wheels combination with 18” front and rear greatly improved the chassis balance. The deficient front fork and feeble brake system were upgraded to JB-POWER high-performance parts and our titanium full exhaust system increases flow efficiency while being 50% / 6kg lighter. Weight reduction and improved chassis balance create a sporty yet neutral handling and the superior JB brake system ensures safety and peace of mind in any situation.
