The GPZ900R NINJA was released in 1984 aiming for the pinnacle of the super-sports class, carrying on the Kawasaki proud heritage as “The Next Z”.

Equipped with Kawasaki’s outstanding, first-generation liquid-cooled, side-cam chain four-cylinder engine, the machine has left a technological footprint that continues till the present.

The avant-garde combination of 16-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels is said to give the NINJA its special character. However, in changing to 18-inch forged magnesium wheels, BITO R&D managed to achieve a neutral, easy to control handling.

A bore-up piston kit and special porting gave a significant boost to the already impressive engine performance and retiring the separate handle in favor of a handlebar, a new rear set as well as a revised seat shape, all of which create an optimized riding position.

The engine revs obediently to the rider’s command and the acceleration potential seems to be limitless. However, the neutral handling created by 18-inch wheels, and the relaxed riding position provide not only the joy of cornering but also comfort on extended trips and the exquisite pleasure of riding in a leisurely dialog with your bike.
